About the Physician Liaison

Upperline Health is seeking a Physician Liaison to drive referrals and patient visits and increase brand awareness of our clinic sites across Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. The Physician Liaison works to develop strong relationships with local healthcare systems, hospitals, and providers across the market. Through direction and collaboration with the management team, the Physician Liaison will proactively plan, track, and execute on goals to effectively grow new and ramping clinics within their assigned territory. To be successful at this role, this individual will need to conduct in person visits to hospitals and physician offices and demonstrate exceptional networking and relationship building skills to introduce our practices, doctors, and services. Ideal candidates will exhibit a leadership mentality, initiate collaborative problem solving, and excellent organizational skills to drive performance. The Physician Liaison must be willing and able to work in the field conducting in person visits to hospitals and physician offices across this market on a daily basis.

What You’ll Do
 

  • Accountable for leading the growth and success of new practices in assigned territory through a hands-on approach
  • Engage locally with healthcare systems and hospitals to introduce our doctors and services and be the conduit between our clinical services team and the referring physicians that we serve
  • Routinely visit PCP and other specialty care practices to initiate a referral pattern through strong clinical relationships between the practices. Coordinate opportunities for our physicians to communicate effectively and regularly with those referral sources
  • Meet regularly with internal clinic operations leaders and providers to align on goals
  • Consistently check-in with doctors and clinic management to secure buy-in along the way for all new clinic launches, both in the lead up to opening and beyond
  • Work with the marketing department to execute on the marketing plan for de novos
  • Follow a strict timeline to establish referral drivers so that the clinic is busy on day one
  • Huddle regularly with colleagues from other regions to share best practices and tactics
  • Maintain organized records of activity and contacts in the CRM system
  • Ensure our providers are engaging in all appropriate marketing activities to ensure the growth of their clinic location
  • Utilize data from the clinics in your region, regularly report on and track the activity and results of the sales initiatives and initiate internal consultation to optimize where opportunities present
  • Embody Upperline Health’s mission and vision and share that messaging through the community
  • Serve as a valuable resource for Upperline’s physicians, clinic leaders and staff as well as develop and foster Upperline’s top-tier culture

Qualifications of the Physician Liaison

  • Outside sales experience or demonstrated ability to develop professional relationships
  • Multi-site healthcare sales or marketing is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience working with physicians is a plus ~ Medical Assistant interested in entering medical sales or marketing is desirable
  • Ability to travel 80% of work hours within the region is required
  • Willingness to accommodate physician schedules, which occasionally fall outside of standard office hours
  • Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving skills, and adaptability to work in a fast-pace and evolving environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data management skills
